The way we collect our memories may have changed quite a lot over the years but what we eventually do with them hasn’t in our experience.
Our parents own boxes of small black and white photos from their younger days, a few made it in to sorted albums but mostly didn’t. Then they progressed to colour photos and slides which are also now just packed away or sitting in boxes with just the odd special picture framed and on display but rarely changed.
We then progressed to the digital age which is great for getting rid of terrible pictures instantly but mostly the pictures sit on a device and get looked at now and again and even sadly get lost sometimes due to technical faults or lost devices.
The same can often be said for video footage, cameras have got smaller and methods have changed from film to digital but often great clips are rarely ever seen or shared.
